I told my mom about my conversion today.
She told me she was proud of me and that she knew I always had it in me, a yiddishe neshama. She also said she’s contemplated conversion too… I’m not sure that she would ever go through with it, but I’m happy she’s accepting of and promotes my decision. The thought of telling her gave me so much anxiety for months.
I also got to chat with two Chabad Lubabitcher...
I really feel like I hate my mom sometimes. She never has anything positive to say whenever I actually get excited about something. She always has to say something cynical.
